About Me
For most of my life, I've been interested in telling stories. As early as elementary school, I've attempted to create them in whatever medium was available to me. One of my earliest memories is attempting to create comic book adventures with colored pencils and crayon. In middle school, I got the chance to write part of a fiction story for the St. Petersburg Times youth section, and went to a Poynter Institute Writer's Camp for young writers. I wrote short stories in my free time and even attempted a novel at the age of 12, although I don't remember quite reaching page 15.
During high school, I took a journalism class that piqued my interest in that field. I continued this thread by majoring in Mass Communications at the University of South Florida, where I am currently a senior. Journalism allows me to tell the stories I've always wanted to tell. I'm able to use both text and photography to create stories that inform the public and help the community at large.
On this site, you will find some samples of the writing and photography that I've created while studying at USF, along with my resume and contact information. Thanks.
